DAVID GREENE (Trainer)
David worked as a stable hand for Richard Otto before acquiring land at Tahuna in 2006. Operating mainly as a pre-training farm for 5 years the itch to 'make a go of it' as a public trainer along with moving a young family back home resulted in building stabling facilities at Te Rapa racecourse. He describes the move as "the best thing I ever did" and he hasn't looked back since.
David is into his 9th season at Te Rapa and has produced numerous stakes performers on both sides of the Tasman including Stolen Dance, Beauty's Beast, Justamaiz, Zabisco & High Kin from limited runners. He has a very enviable strike rate and is quickly rising up the New Zealand training ranks.
