DAVID GREENE (Trainer)
David is into his 14th season at Te Rapa and has produced numerous stakes winners on both sides of the Tasman including First Five, Stolen Dance, Beauty's Beast, Justamaiz, Zabisco, Flaunting & High Kin from limited runners.
The 2026 Tab Telegraph win with First Five gave David his first Group 1 success and still has plenty of Group races to contest coming up.
David prides himself on giving his horses the best opportunity to fulfill their potential and is very open and honest in his dealings with owners. David loves all sports and has a Bachelor of Communications degree from Waikato University.
HEIDI GREENE
Heidi starting working with racehorses early in her life, riding track work before school and strapping at the weekend races for her first boss, Grant Searle.
Upon leaving school Heidi then moved north to join the Priscott Racing stables. Here, Heidi worked with some of the country's best gallopers including: Buzz Lightyear, Hill of Grace, Damaschino, and Pure Theatre. While working for Priscotts, Heidi travelled away with their racing horses (New Zealand and Australia) strapping and riding work. During this time Heidi also completed a Bachelor of Communication Studies from The University of Waikato.
After a short break overseas, Heidi and David set up their operation at Tahuna before moving to their current base at Te Rapa where Heidi manages the office and rides trackwork (sometimes). Heidi and David also manage to find time to raise four beautiful children; Gabbi, Keely, Patrick, and Connor.
