LOT 148 - ALMANZOR x SPINE TINGLE COLT
This colt’s dam, Spine Tingle (NZ) (Super Easy), was a classy 3-year-old who won the Listed Oaks Prelude at Taranaki before going on to run a brave fifth in the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks. She trained on to place at Open Handicap level over 2100 metres and 2200 metres in the Nathans Memorial Handicap as a 4-year-old mare.
This colt is her second foal and is by the in-form Almanzor (Fr), who has now sired 30 stakes winners, including Greene Racing’s own Group 1 Telegraph and Group 1 J Swap Sprint winner First Five (NZ). Most recently, Almanzor sired the Group 3 Wellington Cup winner Manzor Blue (NZ), underlining the stallion’s versatility, having produced stakes winners from 1200 metres through to 3200 metres.
The colt’s second dam, Myback (Dubawi {Ire}), is by arguably the world’s greatest stallion in Dubawi (Ire), who has sired 316 stakes winners, and has proven a very influential broodmare.

Lot 882 - VICTOR LUDORUM x SPECTROSCOPIC COLT

This colt is the first foal out of SPECTROSCOPIC (Fastnet Rock), with Fastnet Rock a proven Champion broodmare sire. The stable has also enjoyed success with first foals previously, including Stolen Dance (NZ) (Alamosa {NZ}), adding further confidence to the profile.
His sire, VICTOR LUDORUM (GB), was a five-time winner and a Group 1 winner as both a juvenile and a three-year-old. That French form and French blood has proven effective in New Zealand through horses such as Almanzor, with Victor Ludorum now standing at Haras d’Etreham in France—Almanzor’s former home.
The colt’s third dam is by Galileo (Ire), and the blend of Fastnet Rock and Galileo blood is regarded as one of the best crosses in the breed, as demonstrated by the Champion mare Via Sistina, ensuring strong quality running deep through this colt’s pedigree. The fourth dam, Procrastinate (Jade Hunter {USA}), was a highly influential broodmare, producing 12 winners and leaving a lasting impact through her progeny.

King of Comedy x Dama Zorro 2023 colt
A super type of horse. Strong, with good confirmation and a clean scope. (Grade 1, Certificate available).
If you are unfamiliar with his dam Dama Zorro, she was a talented sprinting mare that won 7 races for the stable. She showed an exceptional turn of foot, generally coming from the rear of the field to score over the top of them. A real stable favourite.
